Barrelparty

Postponed my onward journey for a day in a shortterm decision. One of the best surfrelated decisions I made since I'm surfing. This way I had the oportunity to surf this worldclass surfspot in overhead waves for 4,5 hours with max 7 people. 2 hours of it even just with the three of us! I couldn't believe my eyes! Normaly in conditions like these there would be propably 30 to 60 people sitting in the water. In contrary to a in the normal case propably hardly existing wavecount I now even sometimes had 2 waves out of the same set. Thats the way it must have felt back in the Seventies. I still need to grin when I think about it...

Sorry about the quality of picture but my camera broke and instead of 14 now there's 2 megapixel. And they don't look very good when zoomed in.

A short flight to Singapore and back and you get a new visa for Indonesia. And as I was there, I for sure also had a look at the city and its crazy architecture...

Here's the worst edited video I ever cut. But a slow Netbook with a shitty cutting program (because others don't work) plus HD-movies lead to a bad video. Also because i didn't want to wait for hours until the little computer progressed something and rather went surfing. The video tells the story of the last part of the drive to a surfspot I found on Google-Earth. Then a little change in format from 16:9 to 4:3, hehe. And in the end even half of a wave in supercheesy slowmo. I promise I'm going to reedit my videos as soon as I'm in front of a descent computer (and maybe add more surfing and less driving).

Lots of surfing = little pics. Here nevertheless a few from the video that got ripped apart trying to export it. I'm going to post it later. I spend a descent amount of time to find uncrowded surf with the help of Google-Earth. Here a picture from paddling out to one of the deserted waves I found.

Sorry, but it's way cheaper than culturetrips. And it was so much fun again, hehe! On top of that in the picture it looks way smaller than it actually was (around 3 to 4m in front of the wave)

2 weeks for free in the Surfcamp were great, but the city just can't reach this

Sunrise with the absolute funwaves (2m / 15sec/ offshore/ 300m long) One minute surfing, 10 minutes paddeling and then the next wave. A happily grinning carousel of 10 stoked surfers

here the result of one day of constant surfing. Except the two milkshakestops and half an hour middayrest with Nasi Goreng.
