Yogya Street Art

Other Graffiti-Style in Yogya than elsewhere in the world:

Culture shock for the small purse

Had to stay in Yogjakarta to extend the visa. So we thought we have a look at the Prambanan tempel (world heritage). But it had world heritage entrance fee aswell (236.000 Rupiah equal a bit less than 16 euros). ''Huch!'' that's a lot for old stones. Compared to what you usually spend in Indo. So the next picture is the Prambanan tempel. That's how much you get for free:

So we decided to have a look at the Plaosan tempel. This are old stones, too. Also hinduistic. Looks about the same. Has about the same age. But doesn't have torists. And costs 3.000 Rupiah entrance fee. Culture shock for the small purse fended.

Sri Lanka V

I don't know if there are many countries where this happens to you on public transport....

Inside the rubber factory

On the way to the top of Diyaluma waterfall you pass a rubber factory. First the workers explained the way to me and on the way back they invited me to have a look at their factory. I didn't miss out on that one. This picture was what I already knew: the tree gets cut in an angle and the leaking liquid is collected

the rest was new to me. The liquid gets collected. One bowl equals 3 days per tree

This stuff gets pressed with the tool in the middle of the picture

then you make a lot of smoke and hang'em up in the smokehouse

until they reach soothercolour

then you pick out the bad ones and send the rest of the material all around the world
